First of all, thank you for browsing my website! I am happy you are here and hope you enjoy viewing and investing in my photographs.
I came to professional photography late in life, after raising five children and working first as a teacher and university professor, then as a manager in a software company. I’ve always loved wildlife and have had many opportunities to explore the outdoors, from my earliest years wandering wooded acres with my sister, to my years as a mom introducing my children to wildflowers and pond critters, and then my teaching years with science students in the field. Now I want to share my explorations with YOU!
Some of my photographic explorations include a week in the jungles of Peru, several visits to coastal Florida, scuba diving in the Caribbean and Indonesia, birding in Canada, and hiking the deserts of Nevada, Arizona, and Utah.
Why the deserts? A few years ago I discovered that herds of wild mustangs still exist and can be found within driving distance from where I live. The horses themselves are incredible and the advocates who work for their protection are amazing. My goal with mustang photography is to bring awareness of wild horses as an enduring, authentic, and sustainable symbol of the American West. Many of my prints have been sold to support wild horse conservation organizations.
One thing that is most rewarding about my photography is hearing people say, “Thank you for being my eyes! I will never go where you went, but now I can experience the beauty of it through your photography.” With my prints you can bring some of that beauty into your home.
